So the groups are done and today we already saw a very good game by Germany in the round of 16.
I'm hoping that Argentina will win todays second game (how can they not win?!?!). :)
Anyway, start commenting...

Extremely usefull for both new and experienced users. I thought I knew all shortcuts but apparently not (Ex: Back -> Shift + Scroll Down).
This hillarious NBC article has the conversation that was recorded on tape as an AOL customer called and asked a representative to cancel his AOL account.
Death Cab for Cutie, Postal Service, Snow Patrol, Dashboard Confessional, Yellowcard.
This presentation displays an awesome prototype for windows called BumptTop. It's a prototype for a 3D desktop that's supposed to be more lifelike and allows you to handle your desktop just like you handle your real life desk by piling your documents in normal piles, or piling windows, or even "folding" stuff and pining it on the "side wall" and much much more. Check it out!
I had to start a new post for this. Ah, sweet revenge, even though I didn't throw a single stone. I haven't been out here hype-ing the US, I don't think they are great. But the irony and the hard record (assuming the blog stays up :p ) of all of your hating comments is too hard to pass. Mika, since you and I were just having a nice conversation, you are excluded.
So I don't know how many of you have ESPN/ESPN 2, but you can see me playing basketball against the best streetballers in the country in the AND 1 mixtape tour. LOL it was a pretty fun thing, I was one of 3 ppl chosen out of 500 to be on the opponent team, but of course we're just there to be props for the real stars. Fun all the same. Check me out in a couple of weeks when the Salt Lake City tour stop airs.
So how do I get my PDF files that I click on Firefox to open? I messed with plug-ins and looked for extensions, but couldn't find anything. You guys know? It opens a new tab like it is supposed to but then it's just blank and I have to paste the address into IE to get the file. Help!
Forget HDTV (high definition), watch the World Cup 2006 in a whole new perspective - ASCII! ascii-wm.net offers two mirrors that you can telnet to and watch the world cup games in ASCII format. It appears that so many people enjoy this service that I wasn't even able to connect because there were too many connections already :( To check it out simply telnet to any of these two mirrors by opening up a terminal(*nix or Mac) or command prompt(windows):
Did you guys see Beckham's bend on the goal against Paraguay? Although they didn't play that well overall, it was a beautiful shot and they got the win.
I know I might be pushing our whole talk on conspiracy and the "big brother" theory to the extremes, but I ran into this article and thought it wasn't bad at all. Just in case you never know (: It discusses how one can further make the internet browsing more anonymous/safe (and what do you know email encryption is one of them hehe). I know most of us aren't worried about this kind of things, but I like to keep myself informed in case I ever do need to take some measures. Anyways here's the link:
There are many different online office programs but almost none of them are integrated in a suite. Google finally released the first progam in their office set: Google Spreadsheets. Word competitor is going to launch pretty soon too (Google Writely).
This extension really intrigued me when my friend Dan showed it to me. Google just created an extension that allows you to synchronize your browser information like tab session, stored passwords, bookmarks, history, (you name it!) between your computers. So for example if you have multiple computers that have different bookmarks, or you just found a bunch of cool websites, you dont have to go and email yourself those links to remember them when you get on your other computer, you simply synchronize them with this extension! Same goes with history, stored passwords, etc.
We have all heard the women's rules when it comes to men like "don't leave the seat up" or "don't forget our aniversary" and so on. However what about the other side? What about the men's rules! For once lets reverse the sides and put down the rules from the men's prespective!
A fun little test (supposed to be pretty accurate).
so i just bought a 30 gig ipod, but i have to tell you the story of how it came to be, lol, you'll love it.
Finally Gmail has contact groups! If you click on the "Contacts" link in your gmail (it sits right above the gtalk on the left side), you'll see that you can now create contact groups so that you send one email and it goes to all the people in the group. Most of you might remember we had a problem with this because when we decided to send daily emails to our blog members, we had to create a nikak google group and then forward our blog stuff to it, which then mailed all the members of the google group. What a mess! But it did the job (: Well all that is over with this great useful feature finally added to Gmail! Hooray for Gmail!
I couldn't resist not putting this one. Not that I was searching for anything like that... you know just accidentally found a link to this site...! Right. Now to the main point. For all you stalkers (Goga! lol), I ran into this website called Stalkerati which searches for images on all the big name network sites (MySpace, Facebook, etc) and other things as well (such as web searches). A lot of the network ones require a login of course, but then if you're an experienced stalker, you probably have not just one but a few accounts on all of those! hehe. Enjoy! And try not to get caught.
Alrighty! Many of you have known me for a long time and have gone through my different phases of streaming music online such as using Shoutcast and of course the great Hamachi VPN. Now the latest was nice because iTunes already supplied users access to the shared music on LAN and since Hamachi created a "Virtual Lan" (VPN) we could listen to eachother's music easily! Just had to get on Hamachi. Well this application might make it even easier!
Apparently some guy sold a broken laptop on eBay, while advertising it as fully functioning and adding on to the specs false information. Well this is according to the person who bought it. Apparently the seller didn't even bother formatting his hard drive and when the buyer checked it he found a lot of "interesting information" on it. So he went ahead and posted all that on the webpage. This case is being investigated by the british police because apparently the seller (Amir) wants the site to be taken down (I wonder why), meanwhile the buyer says he will do it only if Amir refunds him the laptop. Anyways check out the article and the website it self. It's pretty interesting, amusing and warning all at the same time:
So I don't know if this will get any replies, but it at least will let you guys know where my mind has been lately. I only bring this up for an interesting discussion and because I just dropped a crapload of cash on it. Also, it helps me to summarize all that I've been studying and get some other perspective. I hope this forum is okay for this type of discussion....
