Shall we start World Cup commentating?

Did you guys see Beckham's bend on the goal against Paraguay? Although they didn't play that well overall, it was a beautiful shot and they got the win.

I haven't watched that one.

I really liked some goals from Germany to Costa Rico. From far away right into the corner of the goals.

Man, Poland was so weak. They really sucked. Seeing Argentina playing was very interesting (technique was amazing).

How about that US game eh dod? lol man was that a slaughter! A lot of awesome goals already, and I'm sure most of you noticed, almost every game has a very early goal!

I was just watching highlights from Italy vs. Ghana. Holy crap, one-on-one goal was awsome. Shame on Ghana team to allow that to happen.

I watched that Italy-Ghana game. I was of course cheering for a tie. Man, talk about the Group of Death!!! US has no chance of getting out!!! Ghana actually looked pretty decent with a couple of exceptions. Dod, get off my case, where are the orangemen of Hayastan!!??? At least we qualified even if we got our butts handed to us by the czechs. hmmmm, what are the odds we can beat Italy.....19,000,000:1?

I don't think France looked very good today. They were lucky to get the win. I'm going to sit down now and watch Brazil. I record all the games and then watch when I can. So did Germany look good?

I agree about the US and Ghana. Ghana looks really good so you guys are in real trouble. As for Italy and the odds, let me just put it this way: If you put 10$ on US and by some miracle US wins, you'll probably become an instant billionare :P hehe.

France sucked, sucks, and will suck for all eternity! I hope they don't get a single goal just like last world cup. Swizerland shut them down like nothing else! Ukraine was dissapointing today :( I was hoping they'd tie or even win! But you gotta give it to Spain, they dominated and showed awesome skill (although that penalty was such a bs call).

Brazil was... well... Brazil (: But Croatia played amazing as well and should have tied that game at least! So far a lot of awesome goals and good games!

Spain looked really good, too bad your boy Shevchenko couldn't do much....I think he was fighting a war by himself. That penalty pissed me off, but it really didn't impact the game other than humiliate Ukraine further. Did you see the last 10 minutes of the Saudi Arabia-Tunisia game!!?? Wow, it was tight. 3 goals scored in 10 minutes. Sweeet!!

Great WC so far. (except my beloved countrymen) Brazil looks fairly unstoppable, like they were just toying with Croatia, who actually had some great plays. I could watch Ronaldinho and Carlos all day. But man, it's time for Ronaldo to throw in the towel, he is a fat, slow old man now :)

ok ive set back and taken it, but now i gotta say.....sorry randod, it is NOT the group of death lol with all due respect to you and none to the US lol a group with US and Ghana is not a group of death. Ghana is ok tho. Im just sick of all the bias commentating, im sorry. Even after US got blown away, they were still praising them like they are leading the group. And now they're making it into a group of death and saying that that is the reason they didn't go through. Come on, one ok world cup, with a lucky draw of mexico in the second round does not make you a world class team. Every time they get a group with 2 good teams, it goes back to, its a tough group, we're unlucky, give me a break. Before the world cup Donavan was saying that it doesnt matter what group they are in. They'll go though...wait excuse me...they'll WIN the world cup. ok, yea, cool. Im sorry to be harsh, but im really sick of all these excuses and bias commentators. And now bruce arena is saying that they lost because he didn't personally scout out czechs....give me a break, seriously, you got your ass handed to you, sit down and take it like a man. Sorry randod, all the respect in the world for you, but its just getting ridiculas with this team.

Goga, I agree with you about USA team. Chechs are good but if they claim to be a world class team they'll have a chance to prove it tomorrow when they play Italy. Let the numbers and results prove everything instead of empty threats/claims by commentators.

Em, holy crap. I could not believe that!!! 6-0!!! Btw, on my chart the final will be between Argentina and Brazil.

P.S. Maximus, I respect you and everything, but I do agree with Goga. I don't cheer for Russia because they suck so bad that it's not even funny (didn't even get in at all).

Goooooooooooooo Armenia!!! Wait... are we talking about 2006? or 2010? Because in 2010 we're going in! lol ok most likely not, but the whole thing w/team USA, it is hyped beyond anything, however on the positive side I'll say this:

1. This is USA so you know it's normal to be hyped.
2. Maybe with all this going on more people will get drawn into this tournament and soccer in general and understand that it really is the best sport ever (I heard a comparison on the number of viewers and it was like 10 million viewers of superbowl or something like that compared to 1.5billion viewers of the final match of world cup!)

But all in all I guess I will join with the criticism that USA shouldn't have put themselves on even terms with the Czechs. Live and learn I guess (:

Argentina... man I'll give my respect to that team. When you have 6 goals by 5 different players... that just shows the class of every player and the team as a whole. Props!

The road to the cup continues! w00t!
