I don't know if you guys remember, but I posted some pics of my roommate's cats on here, and there was one huge, REALLY fluffy cat, JR. He weights 16 lb. My roommate decided to give him a hair cut and a bath the other day, and here is what came out of it.

Some bands might be good, some might be bad, but this one is definitely one of the best ever. To call it unique is to say nothing about the maturity of their style, complexity and intellectual quality of their lyrics. There are much more so read on.

Style:

Hard rock would be the closest style category, but their music is always so different that I don't dare dumping them in just one category. There are songs that are pure metal, slower rock and others which are so insane that they require a different style of itself. They are not afraid to say what has happened and what is happening (Armenian genocide is one example).

Ok we recently put up a post about losing the mailing list. Today it seems like we finally got it back. I'm not sure what exactly went wrong, because nothing seemed to be wrong. I actually wrote to the Google staff about our problem, and perhaps that's what resolved it. I would imagine that a lot of people actually use this way of mailing lists, so they probably received many emails about the problem. Anyways it seems to update the our Nikak Google Group with the last post that Denis put, so I think we're back in business!Hooray for Google!

For those of you who like using KDE on Linux Operating Systems - you have to check this out. It's a drop down terminal that is always running! If you've played quake or other games that use the command line terminal, it's kinda like that. You just hit ~(tildae) I think and the terminal drops down/goes back up. They also have skins etc. I haven't tried it yet, so if anyone tries it before me - let me know how it goes!

txt :: Enabling Cyrillic in Windows programs...

Ok, I finally found it!!!

I was looking for ever on how to enable Russian fonts in the programs (not just typing in the language). And finally I found a way. So here we go:

1. Start -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Advanced
2. Look for Language for non-Unicode programs. Choose Russian and click OK.
3. Reboot when prompted to do so.

Here's the result:

P.S. Now you can even save files with russian filenames!

Way back in the day when I just started using Google and it's search I was a kid that only knew how to type query in the search bar and pray for the right result (and that search engine read my mind and understood what I meant).

Now it's all changed. Now I use special operators all the time because they really help with speeding up the search process (My ultimate favorite is [define:]).

Now bla showed me another one [music:] which is very useful if you're searching for an artist information, lyrics and etc.

There are many other search operators that I use on the regular basis but I'm not going to list them all here. Instead I recommend you follow this link to Google help page that has a list of all of them with short explanation.

It's like learning shortcuts for programs that you use most often: Once you try you don't understand how you have been living without them!

So we've all (I guess not all but some) heard of this scary word: VPN. Let me first explain what it does.

VPN allows you to be on the same secure (LAN) network with any computer around the world. But the problem is that for average user it's hard to configure. :(

Well... This little app needs no configuration. Just install and start using :)

Let me just describe possibilities:
- Join in with friends and listen to their iTunes shares wherever they are
- Secure FTP
- Access internet through one of your other computers (Em you'll like this for your torrents, I'll post a tutorial once I'm done setting it up for me)
- Secure file sharing that no one can trace
- Play games on LAN with people no matter where they are
- And many more... Sky is the limit... :)

The program is easy to setup and easy to use (Right now I'm listening to bla's iTunes music share while he is.... I don't even know where he is [for sure not in same building]).
